The Planning Commission meets July 23 at 6 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber, 14177 Frederick Street, with one major land-use item up for discussion. Staff are recommending the commission adopt resolutions supporting the Edgemont Commerce Center project at the southwest corner of Bay Avenue and Day Street — a change of zone from Business Park to Light Industrial, plus a plot plan for a 142,797-square-foot light industrial building on roughly 7.7 acres. Two other items on the agenda, a gas station/convenience store proposal at Cactus Avenue and Indian Street and a 293-lot subdivision near Cactus and Lasselle, have been continued to later meetings at the applicants' request.
