Moreno Valley: Air Quality Alert

An air quality alert is in effect for Moreno Valley and the wider Inland Empire from July 30 at 4 p.m. through 8 p.m. Sunday, August 2, due to elevated ozone pollution. Ozone levels typically peak in the afternoon and early evening, and people with lung disease, older adults, pregnant people, children, and those who spend a lot of time outdoors face the greatest risk. To limit exposure, keep windows and doors closed, run an air conditioner or air purifier instead of a whole-house fan or swamp cooler, and hold off on gas-powered lawn equipment and gas station trips until evening.
