Moreno Valley: Flood Advisory

A Flood Advisory was issued August 9 from 1:21 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. PDT for parts of Riverside and San Diego counties, covering areas including Anza, Aguanga, the Cahuilla Indian Reservation, and Highway 79 between Warner Springs and Oak Grove. Radar showed heavy rain from thunderstorms, with 0.5 to 1.25 inches already fallen and up to 1.25 more inches expected, enough for minor flooding in low-lying and poor-drainage spots. The National Weather Service warns of dangerous flows over low-water crossings: turn around, don't drown, and find an alternate route rather than crossing a flooded road.
