Moreno Valley: Extreme Heat Warning

An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect through Friday, August 21 at 8 PM for southwest Arizona and southeast California, including areas around Yuma, Imperial Valley, and the Gila River Valley. Afternoon temperatures are expected to reach 106 to 114 degrees. Heat-related illness risk is significantly elevated during extreme heat; prolonged exposure can lead to heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke. Limit strenuous outdoor activity to early morning or evening, wear loose clothing, and drink plenty of water. If you work outside, take frequent breaks in shade or air conditioning.
