Moreno Valley sports: week of August 17–23

The Los Angeles Dodgers went undefeated this week, winning all six games with a 6-0 record. They opened with three wins over the Colorado Rockies (11-5, 7-6, and 6-4), then swept a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates (5-4, 4-3, and 4-0).
The Los Angeles Angels split their week evenly at 3-3. After taking two of three from the Houston Astros, they went 1-2 against the Texas Rangers to finish even on the road.
The Inland Empire 66ers struggled this week, posting a 2-4 record in their series against the Ontario Tower Buzzers. The minor league club managed wins on August 18 (10-7) and August 20 (12-5) but dropped four straight to close out the week.
